ABOUT

MATWIL, aka Mathieu Wilson, was born and live in Paris.

He began painting at the age of 16. However, until now, his work has focused primarily on film production.

He has been commissioned to direct music videos for Labels (Verve, Universal Music, Qobuz, Bonsaï…)

and for artists such as Richard Galliano, André Ceccarelli, Leo Sidran, Paolo Fresu, Ibeyi, among others.

At the same time, he draws and uses various forms of expression (Paint, drawing, art digital, paper collage).

Below, as a teenager, is his first painting from 1994 (gouache), and also others from 1998, 1997, and 1996 (oil).
